Hi, I’m Kayla.

I’m a writer, editor, and content strategist who loves helping people solve problems through high-quality, useful content.

For more than a decade, I’ve worked in agency and in-house settings helping B2B and B2C brands. I'm currently a Senior Editor Lead at American Addiction Centers where I help readers learn about the disease of addiction and how to navigate getting treatment.

Previously, I was Content Production Manager at NP Digital, where I lead content strategy for B2B and B2C enterprise clients and managed our team of in-house and contract writers. Before that I was an editor at Hive Media where I assigned, edited, and occasionally wrote articles with a focus on entertainment, health, lifestyle, and politics. And before that, I was an in-house content writer at The Symphony Agency, and an editorial assistant and contributing writer for Edible Tampa Bay.

I’ve had my hands on all facets of the content lifecycle.

A Florida native, I graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Journalism and Media Studies. I moved to California in 2017 and am still getting used to above-sea-level elevation. In my free time, I’m probably taking amateur photos, riding a motorcycle (slowly), or trying to convince my friends that cheese is an acceptable dinner.
